People

Roger Ullman,
Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Roger Ullman is chief executive of the foundation Advocates for Climate Innovation and of its related 501(c)(4) organization, Climate Innovation Action.  These organizations seek to secure broad, effective and efficient Federal climate policy, with a current focus on carbon dioxide removal and next-generation geothermal power production.  Roger co-founded ACI’s predecessor Linden Trust for Conservation and became its first Executive Director in 2006.  From 2002 to 2006 he was at Rainforest Alliance, managing the world’s leading Forest Stewardship Council certifier, with operations in more than 50 countries.  For nearly two decades before that he worked on Wall Street, most recently as a Managing Director of investment banking at Merrill Lynch, where he founded and built the firm’s mergers and acquisitions business in Latin America.  He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in history from Harvard College.

Lawrence H. Linden,
Trustee

Larry Linden spent the 70s at the MIT Energy Laboratory, the Pentagon and the White House, focused on air pollution and energy policy, the 80s and 90s in the business world as a partner at McKinsey and then Goldman Sachs, and, in 2006, founded the Linden Trust for Conservation, now Advocates for Climate Innovation, with Roger Ullman, focused first on forest conservation and then climate policy advocacy. Larry is personally active in advocating with members of Congress for ACI’s objectives, in conjunction with ACI’s 501(c)(4) partner, Climate Innovation Action, and advising political leaders who work on these causes. He received a BSE from Princeton University and an MS and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

Bill Roberts,
Trustee

Bill Roberts is the Principal of Corridor Partners.  He has over 40 years of experience in politics, advocacy, and philanthropy.  In philanthropy, Bill has held leadership positions at Atlantic Philanthropies (director of U.S. advocacy) and the Beldon Fund (president). In advocacy and policy, Bill held senior positions on the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee and at the Environmental Defense Fund.

Anna Giorgi,
Program Officer 

Anna Giorgi joined ACI’s predecessor Linden Trust in 2020 as a Program Associate and became Program Officer in 2021. Previously, Anna worked on climate and environmental policy and coalition-building as Assistant Director with the Aspen Institute Energy and Environment Program.  Prior to joining the Energy and Environment Program, she served as a Brent Scowcroft Award Fellow for the Aspen Strategy Group, a membership group of foreign affairs experts. Anna graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in International Relations and Italian Studies and received a M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University. She is originally from Chicago.

Igor Goldenberg,
Director of Finance and Administration

Igor Goldenberg joined LTC in 2020 after serving as a CFO for RCHN Community Health Foundation for seven years. Prior to that, he served as a CFO of Bronxworks, Inc. (formerly Citizens Advice Bureau) and JASA (Jewish Association Servicing the Aging). Igor also worked as a Controller for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Open Society Institute/Soros Foundation. He holds BS and MS degrees in Economics and Statistics from the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics, and Informatics Sciences. Igor also completed two years of PhD Economics studies at the Federal Market Research Institute (Moscow, Russia), specializing in long-term macroeconomic forecasts.
